Scott Shirey lead most of the race, but it was Jeff Smith in his dads white 00 car that led the most important lap to take the win and a $4,000 payday.
Shirey ended up finishing 2nd, followed by Hank Edwards in 3rd, Mike Duvall 4th, and Bodine Masengil 5th.
Looking forward to an even better 2007.

Beasley wins $4,000 feature Late Model Race. Beasley sporting a new Bloomquist Chassis manages to take the poll and lead every lap on his way to a $4,000 dollar payday.
Scott Autry managed to finish 2nd, but a lot of drivers seemed to have problems. It was almost like flies dropping out. Among some of the ones having troubles were the 15 of Dean Bowen, 14 David Taylor, & the 27 of Travis Hair. Dean was running 3rd at the time of his departure , then Taylor had problems & finally Hair was running 3rd when he slowed up on the backstretch.
Not only was Beasley sporting a new Chassis but a new paint job as well.
Next friday Oct 6th will be the last points race of the season and with only 10 points seperating 1st and 2nd it should get interesting, so be sure to join us next friday for what is sure to be an exciting race.

Roger Lucas took his #79 Late Model to winners circle Friday night at Dublin. He took the lead on lap one and held off David Taylor for the 1st half, but the 2nd half was between him and Dean Bowen. Lets just say Roger earned this win. He held off some great challenges for the lead especially from Bowen who was right there at the end but just couldn't get by in the final laps.
The racing in the turns was what you want to see when you goto the race track. Good close racing and a battle the whole way. Lucas almost lost the lead to Dean on the 2nd to last lap which was some great side by side action, but managed to hang on and take the checkered flag at the end. Dean Bowen is still our current points leader after finishing 2nd with David Taylor still close on his heels finishing 3rd and staying in 2nd place in the standing. Congratulations to the 79 and to the rest of the guys for a great race.
Don't forget next week will be another big race at Dublin with a $4,000 to win feature Late Model Event followed by $1,000 to win Open Wheel event. Come on out and join us for some of the greatest racing around at The New Dublin Motor Speedway.

Dean managed to qualify on the outside pole, but took the led from the start. He led every lap on his way to the checkered flag and also managed to grab the points lead.
There was some excitement in this one also. A conflict between Scott Autry and David Taylor (who was leading in points before this race.) which resulted in Scott being black flagged. David later had problems and didn't finish the race.
In a another incident Dale Hammond was having a great run until the very end. Looked like he might have a little something when going down the backstretch he had a blow out and flipped his car. Luckily he was unharmed in the incident.
Dean had a very good night walking away with the win, $2,000 dollars & the points lead.
Join us next week Sept 22 and don't forget Friday Sept 29th is the next scheduled $4,000 SLM feature race.

Scott Autry managed to win for the 2nd time in 3 weeks by taking the pole and the win at Dublin Motor Speedway.
The car count was down a few cars with the absence of some of the regulars not being there including 1st and 2nd in points David Taylor & Dean Bowen.
Autry started on the pole and lead the whole race to collect a $2,000 payday with Dale Hammond(Sugarbear) coming in 2nd followed by Craig Shuffield in 3rd.
